The Google Maps X-Ray

The Google Maps X-Ray

A one off report showing exactly where your business shows up on Google Maps across your own suburb, not just from your own phone. Built by hand by me, Jarrod, in Mildura. $7, once.

What you get

  • A real map of your area with your rank at every point checked, not a guess
  • The full list of every business Google found in that area, ranked ahead of you or behind you
  • A plain breakdown of what is already working for you, and where the actual gap is
  • A short list of the other places worth listing your business, matched to what you already have
  • Delivered to your inbox as a PDF within one business day

One thing you cannot check from where you are standing

When you search for your own business, you are standing at your own address, on your own phone, signed into your own Google account. Google knows exactly where you are and answers accordingly. You will almost always look fine from there.

Someone searching from two suburbs over sees something different. Proximity is the second biggest factor in local Google rankings, behind only your main category, and it is the one thing about your listing you cannot check from your own front door. The X-Ray runs your business against a grid of points across your suburb, the way a real customer’s phone would, and shows you exactly where you hold your ground and where you drop off the map.

What it costs

How it works

1

Tell me about your business

Your business name and the suburb you work out of. That is all I need to run the scan.

2

Pay the $7

Use the button above. I run the scan myself and your X-Ray lands in your inbox within one business day.

Who does the work

Jarrod Partridge of Pear Tree Media, who runs every Google Maps X-Ray personally

Me. I run the scan and build the report myself, the same way I manage every Google page I work on. Nobody else touches it.

If the X-Ray turns up something worth fixing, I will say so plainly. If it does not, I will say that too.
